Every hat has a story, and sometimes a well-loved hat just needs a little help telling the next chapter. Whether it needs a deep cleaning, reshaping, a new sweatband or liner, repairs, or a more extensive restoration, we do everything we can to bring life back into your hat while preserving the character it has picked up along the way. Every hat is different, so we need to see the hat and its condition before we can determine what can be restored and to what extent. Felt hats can be surprisingly resilient, and you would be amazed at what we can bring back to life. Straw hats can also be restored, but may have more limitations depending on their condition and the extent of the damage. Restoration time depends entirely on what your hat needs. Some hats may only take a couple of days, while more extensive restorations can take a couple of weeks. And trust us, we’ve seen it all. Mold, stains, hats caked in cow crap, crushed hats, cracks and tears, and hats so old and brittle that the fibers have begun to deteriorate. Sometimes we can bring a hat back to wearable condition, and sometimes the best we can do is give a well-loved hat one last cleanup and repair so it can proudly retire to the shelf. We can work some pretty impressive hat-restoration magic, but unfortunately, we don’t have an abracadabra button!
